Of all the medical systems in the world, Tracy’s personal wellness journey led her to explore Yoga (the science of the mind) and Ayurveda (the science of the body). Studying these modalities she developed a deep respect for a holistic approach to wellbeing. These ancient healing philosophies perfectly complemented her background as a nurse in modern medicine.
Ayurveda which literally translates to “the science and knowledge of life” was the missing link that, after years of study, became the catalyst to launch Jivana.
Ayurvedic medicine has been practiced and passed down through generations over 5000 years. It’s a system that truly understands “prevention is better than cure” and will always ground you to seek out the root cause alongside treatment.
Ayurveda is all about balance, finding and maintaining it, which is why we use this word often. Health and being well is not just about avoiding disease but finding a balance and harmony within ourselves and with the world around us.
How do we find this balance? Through movement, diet, lifestyle, breathwork and the daily practices and skincare rituals we choose to maintain. As we continue to study Ayurvedic healing philosophies, we’re grateful to be able to integrate these with Jivana’s wellness approach.
Jivana exists to help you get to know yourself better and restore the sense of wellbeing and balance that, like us, you felt has been missing for awhile.
